Brewer comes of age
On a rainy evening which tested the riders motivation, bike handling and cold weather tolerances, Paul Brewer put his months of training into action by winning his first Ystwyth time trial.
The hilly 24 mile course took the riders from Southgate in Penparcau to Devile Bridge and back towards Aberystwyth on the A44 to finish at Lovesgrove.
Of the fifteen riders who braved the elements, it was only Brewer who managed the magical sub hour time with 59.51, relegating Jeff Saycell into second (1.01.10) with Matt Ingham in third place with a surprising 1.03.54
